Welcome to our new Trainee for Education, Chantal Sistek

On 1 February, we will welcome Chantal Sistek as our new Trainee for Education.

Chantal is currently finishing her Master of Science in Education and Psychology with a minor in English Literature and Linguistics at the University of Fribourg. Her studies have allowed her to deepen and critically question current topics in the area of education. With her experience in teaching, she knows the field firsthand. Digitalisation, new learning methods or international mobility are thereby her areas of interest.

Coming from the German-speaking part of Switzerland, she discovered her passion for intercultural exchange through her studies in western Switzerland at the University of Neuchâtel where she could also improve her language skills in French. Furthermore, her studies in English Literature and Linguistics could broaden her language horizon and she was able to improve her writing competences at the same time.

Chantal is an active volunteer for the student organisation Erasmus Student Network (ESN)and had the honour of being the National Representative of ESN Switzerland. Her commitment has sparked her interest in the discussions on international mobility, also from the perspective of a country outside of the Erasmus+ programme. Being actively involved in the development of policies in the field of mobility, she could discover the importance of cooperation with the EU. In addition, she was able to have an exchange experience herself at UCLouvain in Belgium in the autumn semester of 2022.

During her time at SwissCore, she will help the European Advisor for Education in every-day operations and will additionally focus on a dedicated project.
