Welcome Léo Bill, our new Trainee for Research

On 1 February, Léo Bill will start a 6 month traineeship at SwissCore.

Léo joins SwissCore as the Trainee in European Research and brings a strong academic background to the team. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Lausanne and is currently finishing his Master’s degree in Public Management and Policy at the Swiss Graduate School of Public Administration (IDHEAP).

His academic journey led him to choose a specialisation in international governance, during which he developed a strong interest in the design and implementation of European Union policies in Switzerland and abroad. His interest in EU affairs was further strengthened by his role as an assistant in two research mandates, including the TiGRE project, funded by Horizon 2020, during which he wrote complete reports on regulatory institutions in Switzerland. He was later tasked with updating a transversal research database on international and EU multilevel governance.

Motivated by a desire to explore first-hand the intricacies of Swiss-EU relations and EU integration, Leo is committed to gaining practical experience in the field of research, innovation, and education. At SwissCore, he will support the European Advisor for Research and contribute to a dedicated project.
