With the revised Erasmus+ 2020 Programme Guide, two Key Action 2 special calls for proposals were launched as a response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The aim of Strategic Partnerships is to promote transnational cooperation projects among education, training and youth institutions at all levels focusing on innovative approaches and knowledge exchange. The new calls, each worth €100M, support actions in the fields of Digital Education Readiness in the fields of school education, vocational education and training, and higher education and Creative Skills in the fields of youth, school education and adult education.
The current crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic has revealed the need for a rapid transformation of the digital education landscape. With the goal to strengthen the ability of education and training institutions to provide high-quality and inclusive digital education, cross-border Partnerships for Digital Education Readiness address capacity building as well as the development of competences, resources and tools.
The pandemic has also had a considerable impact on the culture and creative sector. In order to stimulate innovative and creative capacities, Partnerships for Creativity foster cooperation between formal, informal and non-formal education and the cultural and creative sector. The action aims at equipping young people and adults with tools and competences which will enhance creative and innovative skills.
Swiss institutions can participate as full or associated partner in the projects. The deadline for the submission of the European proposals is 29 October. Swiss institutions participating as associated partner can apply for financial support through Movetia, the national agency responsible for the implementation of the Swiss solution for Erasmus+, by 12 November 2020.
