Welcome to our new Trainees, Maxime and Justine

On 1 February 2019, Maxime Schoch and Justine Koffi will officially start their student traineeship at SwissCore for a period of six months.

Maxime Schoch holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from the University of Zurich, including a Major in Political Sciences and a Minor in Economics. As from September 2019, she will start a Master‘s programme in International Political Economy at the London School of Economics. During her SwissCore traineeship, Maxime will cover the field of research. Next to supporting the team in the office’s daily activities, she will conduct a specific project. For that, she will follow, analyse and report on the incorporation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into the next Framework Programme Horizon Europe and will analyse SDG initiatives by European and Swiss research stakeholders and derive new opportunities.

Justine Koffi is currently doing a Master’s programme in Public Management and Policy at the Swiss Graduate School of Public Administration (IDHEAP). In 2018, she also did a mobility semester in Political Science and Governance at the University of Bern. During her SwissCore traineeship, Justine will work in the field of education. On top of contributing to the every-day office operations, she will write a report on advanced digital skills, elaborating on the opportunities and challenges for Switzerland with respect to the the European Union’s Digital Europe Programme. This report will also be the basis of her Master thesis.
