It is a pleasure to announce that Tim Uebelen will join SwissCore on 17 August. He will cover the European research policies and programmes.
Tim Uebelen first engaged with European research and innovation policy during his Bachelor’s studies in Politics and Public Administration in Konstanz, during which an internship at the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK) introduced him to Horizon 2020 and the early advocacy efforts shaping Horizon Europe. After completing his Master’s degree in International Politics at KU Leuven, he joined the EU liaison office of the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) in Brussels, where he covered research, innovation, industrial, and defence policies since 2020. In addition, Tim served as UAS4EUROPE coordinator, the network of European universities of applied sciences, supporting swissuniversities’ network presidency in 2021–22, among other responsibilities.
Tim looks forward to joining the SwissCore team and to fostering Swiss participation and visibility in the EU’s current and future Framework Programmes for Research and Innovation.
