Welcome Fantine Dayer, our new Trainee for Education

On 3 February, Fantine Dayer will start a six-month traineeship at SwissCore.

Fantine recently completed her Master’s degree in International Development and Public Policy at the Nova School of Business and Economics in Lisbon. During this time, she focused on topics related to public policies and administration in several European countries and wrote her thesis on the Association Agreement between the EU and Central America (EU-CA AA), focusing on educational opportunities for women entrepreneurs. This research sparked her interest in education’s impact on social and economic progress, as well as the collaborative role of the European Union. Fantine also holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of St-Gallen and spent an exchange semester in Thammasat University in Bangkok.

She gained practical experience by working for the children’s aid NGO Terre des hommes in Lausanne, where she took care of the private fundraising efforts and the donor reporting of projects. She also worked as a research assistant for the Data Science Knowledge Center of the Nova University of Lisbon.

During her internship at SwissCore, Fantine will assist the European Advisor for Education with daily tasks and contribute to a research project.
