On 1 September, Annina Oberholzer will start a 6 months’ traineeship at SwissCore.
Annina has just finished her Bachelor’s degree in Law and Economics at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. Working at a tax law firm as a student assistant for the past two years, she has gained valuable insights on the practical use of the respective provisions and policies.
Her participation in a student run negotiation simulation of the World Trade Organisation sparked her interest in the functioning of an international organisation and the potential it has, to create an added social value. While attending the Vienna University of Economics and Business during one semester of her bachelor studies, she was also able to study the legal framework of the European Union.
The integrative nature of her Law and Economics studies has further drawn her interest into working in an interdisciplinary field such as European integration. She is eager to immerse herself in European innovation policies and programmes and their implications for Swiss stakeholders.
During her time at SwissCore, she will support the European Advisor for Innovation and the team in day-to-day activities as well as focus on a dedicated project.
