Welcome Anja Meier, our new Student Trainee

On Monday 2 September, Anja Meier will start a student traineeship at SwissCore for a period of six months.

Anja Meier graduated this summer from the University of Geneva with a Bachelor in International Relations. She completed her sixth and final semester abroad at the Saint Petersburg State University in Russia.

Her traineeship at SwissCore will include operational support to the office’s activities (with a focus on research policy and programmes) and a number of specific tasks. The operational support will include, among others, news screening, article writing, event attendance, and assistance in the organisation and implementation of events and visits. One of Anja’s specific tasks will be to follow, analyse and report on the priorities for Research, Innovation and Education of the new European College of Commissioners and the new Commission President in a new political setting in Brussels.
