Goodybe Céline

After six months, Céline finished her traineeship at SwissCore and takes up a new professional challenge.

Céline started her traineeship at SwissCore just after handing in her master’s thesis on ‘Cooperation of multilateral development banks in the Black Sea region’. She has meanwhile graduated from her Master’s in International Affairs and Governance at the University of St. Gallen. Céline covered the education field, focusing on the negotiations of the new programmes, Erasmus+ (2021-2027) and the European Solidarity Corps, which, for the first time, will become a stand-alone programme. Céline followed the discussions in the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union closely. Furthermore, she followed development in the current Erasmus+ programme, like the European universities initiative and analysed other measures supporting education and training outside Erasmus+.

Céline’s time in Brussels was coined by memorable parties with the Czech trainees, double-fried fries with Andalouse sauce, countless quotes from Samurai Cop, and crêpes marrocaines at the Marché du Midi filled with lots of veggies. Not to forget the spectacular speculoos cheesecake at l’Ultime Atome, also offering a remarkable choice of beer including her favourites (Kriek, Triple Karmeliet, Straffe Hendrik) and walks on the sunny Belgian coast under the guidance of Otto the Otary.

Céline will remain in our best memory and we take the chance to thank her for the brilliant work she delivered during her traineeship. She is now returning to Switzerland, where she will start her new job as Consultant in Global Immigration at EY. We wish you all the best for the future.
