Swiss Science Briefing – Sustainable Development Goals

Switzerland, Europe and Beyond: Global SDGs and the Science Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development.
This Swiss Science Briefing, was hosted by the Mission of Switzerland to the EU and SwissCore, aimed at highlighting how science contributes not only to the technical aspects of development, but also to socio-cultural effects and changes.
The event elaborate on how science and science institutions can interact with different stakeholders to enable fact-based decisions in a knowledge-based society. The panel discussion proposed ways for science institutions in Switzerland and all over Europe to work with the European Commission in order to contribute to sustainable development and the achievement of SDGs.

- Urs Bucher, Ambassador, Head of the Mission of Switzerland to the EU
- Antonio Loprieno, President of the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences, of the Federation of European Academies (ALLEA), and of the Austrian Science Council
- David Bohmert, Secretary General, Conference of European Schools for Advanced Engineering Education and Research (CESAER)
- Adam Tyson, Head of Unit North America, Latin America and Caribbean, Directorate C – International Cooperation, European Commission
