On 2 February, we welcome Michelle Breitenmoser who will start a one-month traineeship in the field of education policy and programmes.
Michelle completed a Master’s degree in Educational Science at the University of Zurich, alongside a minor in Vocational Education and Training. Throughout her studies, she developed a strong interest in the international aspects of education as well as international organisations and policies, and their effect at institutional and individual levels.
For her master’s thesis, she explored the benefits of international mobility programmes, such as Erasmus+, for apprentices. She has also experienced the enrichment of international programmes for young adults first-hand, having studied for a semester at the University of Hamburg and having completed a summer school at the University of Amsterdam. Prior to her traineeship, Michelle worked as a Student Assistant at the University of Zurich, supporting various departments including the Chair of History of Education and Education Policy Analysis. Most recently, she examined the role of Swiss vocational education from an international perspective.
Michelle will support Sandra Gillner, our European Advisor for Education and contribute her expertise in VET to the team.
