Welcome Andrina Wyttenbach, our new Trainee for Research

On 1 September, Andrina Wyttenbach will start a 6 months’ traineeship at SwissCore.

Andrina finished her bachelor’s degree in International Affairs at the University of St.Gallen, Switzerland. She completed her bachelor’s thesis in the field of comparative politics, with a focus on the impact of the electoral system change to the Alternative Vote and its implication on the election of women of colour in local elections in the California Bay Area.

During her studies, Andrina was particularly interested in EU politics and the political and economic relationship between Switzerland and the EU. She also brought this interest into her work for the foreign policy think tank ‘foraus’, During her time at ‘foraus’, Andrina gained practical experience in organising events and moderating multiple panel discussions on different topics related to international politics. Therefore, she is looking forward to acquire practical experience and valuable insight into the relations between Switzerland and the EU in research, education, and innovation during her traineeship at SwissCore.

During her time at SwissCore, she will support the European Advisor for Research in day-to-day activities and will also focus on a dedicated project.
