On 1 February, we will welcome Justine Schmid as our new Trainee for Research. Justine graduated in summer 2021 from the University of Geneva with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, where she chose to major in International Politics. Justine wrote her bachelor thesis on differences in women’s representation in European national parliaments. This has helped her consolidate quantitative research skills and broadened her knowledge on the topic of women’s political empowerment.
Last semester, Justine has been working for the health department of her canton of residence, where she has been able to see the individual effects of the current pandemic, as well as the reasoning and responsibility behind certain decision-making processes.
During her traineeship at SwissCore, Justine will dedicate part of her time covering the European Partnerships. In addition, she will support the operational activities of the office, working closely with the Advisor for Research and the Head of Office.
