On 1 February, Florence Emery will start a student traineeship at SwissCore for six months.
Florence is currently finishing a Master of Arts in European Studies at the University of Geneva, an interdisciplinary degree that includes politics, economics, history and law. Her specialisation in European law has allowed her to become familiar with EU policy making and its implementation. Formerly, she has successfully completed the Bachelor in International Relations, which developed her curiosity for Swiss-EU relations.
During her studies, she had the opportunity to study abroad twice, once in Finland and once in Belgium. Those experiences have strongly impacted her views on education and the importance of exchanges between individuals and countries. By pursuing an academic path in Switzerland and traveling to different European cities, she was able to extend her interest in the field of education which gives an overview of the world and the various possibilities to improve it.
During her time at SwissCore, she will help the European Advisor for Education in day-to-day activities and will additionally focus on a dedicated project.
