We organise various events directed towards transmitting information and knowledge to dedicated audiences within specific formats. The events are usually held in English.
Our Annual Event concerns the annual reception of SwissCore and the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) held in April, May or June in Brussels inviting all major contacts within our Brussels and key persons from our Swiss network. Around 100 participants attend this reception held at the premises of the Kooperationsstelle EU der Wissenschaftsorganisationen (KoWi) in Brussels (BELGIUM).
Our Swiss Briefings aim at presenting a Swiss best practice in either the field or research, innovation or education to representatives of our European partners. They are jointly organised with the Swiss Science and Technology Counsellor and held at the Mission of Switzerland to the European Union (Mission CH EU). The format is dialectic: a representative of the Mission CH EU opens the event and Swiss speakers then present their case and argument. It is followed by a reflection by a European speaker and a panel discussion with questions and answers from the audience.
Our Seminars concern annual conferences in Brussels on a prominent topic on the European agenda for our Swiss clients. They are intended to inform our clients on current policy preparing them to properly safeguard their interest at European level or on European programmes enabling them to correctly inform and train their Swiss constituencies participating in these programmes. We offer tailor-made visits for some persons en marge of these seminars. The seminars are usually informally opened with an apéro hosted by the Swiss Science and Technology Counsellor of the Mission CH EU and take about one and a half day thereafter. A joint dinner is usually given at the first conference day.
Our Apéro concerns the biannual small-scale reception of the new Trainees and experts nationaux détachés of the Swiss government to the european institutions and are held at our premises in March and November. The Swiss research, innovation and education community in Brussels meets here to welcome the Swiss newcomers to Brussels.
