SUMMARY:Swiss Science Briefing - A Sustainable Europe through Transdisciplinary Research
DESCRIPTION:Inspiring insights on how a systems-based approach and transdisciplinary research can help tackle societal challenges. \n\n\n\nThe Mission of Switzerland to the European Union\, SwissCore and the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences organised a Swiss Science Briefing on: ‘A Sustainable Europe through Transdisciplinary Research’ at the Mission of Switzerland in Brussels. This briefing presented good practice examples for transdisciplinary undertakings from specific research projects in Switzerland and an OECD study with Swiss participation. It complemented these insights with the perspective of a major funding agency involved in sponsoring transdisciplinary research and the concrete steps taken by the European Commission implementing transdisciplinarity in Horizon Europe\, the EU’s next framework programme for research and innovation. The subsequent discussion was moderated by Antonio Loprieno\, President of ALLEA (European Federation of Academies of Sciences and Humanities). \n\n\n\nProgramme:  here \n\n\n\nDetailed report: here
