SwissCore is an office of the Swiss National Science Foundation, co-funded by the State Secretariat for Education and Research and  the Federal Office for Professional Education and Technology.

SwissCore is also the Brussels-based partner of Euresearch, the Swiss Information Network for EU Research programmes.
 
SwissCore was founded in 1995 in order to ensure and promote Swiss participation in EU research and education activities.
 
SwissCore acts as an information, training and networking platform for Swiss and European research and higher education in Brussels.
 
SwissCore informally represents the Swiss research community towards EU institutions and Brussels-based interest groups.
 
SwissCore is a non-profit service provider for researchers, managers, administrators and policy-makers from both the public and the private sector.
 
SwissCore is a member of IGLO - the Informal Group of Liaison Offices in Brussels. The aim of IGLO is to facilitate and enhance the interaction, information exchange and co-operation between its members, their national research systems and the European institutions on issues related to European research, in particular, the EU Research Framework Programme.
