Measuring innovation 

The European Innovation Scoreboard (EIS) is the main instrument to provide a comparative assessment of the innovation performance of EU Member States and some Third Countries, including Switzerland. The INNO-Policy Trend Chart and the European Innovation Progress Report describe and analyse major innovation policy trends at national and regional level, gathering information on countries from in- and outside the EU. They aim to contribute to policy assessment and to identify examples of good practice, thus improving the basis for decision making in innovation policy.
